1.1 Verifications Requirements 驗證要求
Verification Protocol applies to each Organization in the full supply chain (after the verification of the source Claimed Material), including processing, manufacturing, storage, handling and shipping through to the seller in the last business-to-business transaction. Organizations involved in the manufacturing and handling of claimed products, from the initial processing to final packing, as well as traders of claimed products, shall receive an on-site or off-site verification audit from CUC. Verification Audits are to occur at least annually, within the calendar year.

The SVCOC Verification Protocol applies to products that contain 5% to ** of a claimed material. Only Canopy Style Initiative sustainable viscose from Lenzing (TENCEL™, ECOVERO™ , VEOCEL™ , LENZING™ ), Birla Cellulose (Livaeco™, Birla Modal™, Birla Excel™ , Birla Viscose™ ,Birla Spunshades™) and ENKA GmbH & Co. KG (ENKA®) and other types of viscose coming out of these three fiber suppliers are considered as eligible inputs. Materials with CCS claims are not considered as eligible inputs under SVCOC standard.

Organizations in the subsequent steps do not necessarily hold valid FSC COC/PEFC COC/GOTS/GRS/OCS scope certificate. If the organizations representing the subsequent steps in the supply chain, does not hold a valid FSC COC/GOTS/GRS/OCS scope certificate, those organization shall comply with the additional requirements that are specified in the annex of this document. For those organizations, CUC shall issue an annual declaration of scope including sites, products and output claims.

Additional requirements that are specified in the annex of this document shall be exempted for the organizations holding a valid FSC COC/PEFC COC/GOTS/GRS/OCS scope certificate at the time of verification.

During the verification, CUC shall review and observe records, production processes, and storage units at each site. Core production operations shall not be exempted from on-site verification. Core processing is any process involved with the construction or transformation of the product.

Organization-owned warehouses managing claimed materials during the post-production shall be identified and may be inspected at the discretion of CUC. Contracted warehouses only performing shipping or repacking functions for Product Post-Production shall be reported to CUC but are not required to be on-site verified by CUC.

In this case, a desk audit may be conducted to replace the on-site verification or may exempt from the Certification obligation; provided they are only involved in Post-Production activities with verified products.

The organization shall have control and responsibility for the integrity of the verified claimed product being subcontracted. 組織應確認并對外包的認證產品完整性負責。
Subcontractors identified as higher risk through a CUC risk assessment shall be subject to on-site verification or desk audits. Subcontractors identified as low risk through a CUC risk assessment may be exempt from on-site verification or desk audits.

If for one or more activities the risk is considered as “High”, a physical inspection of all high risk subcontractors included in the scope shall be carried out.

Subcontractors shall not further subcontract their activities to a separately owned entity.

The CB may carry out unannounced On-Site Audit visits. The visits shall cover in particular those units or situations where there may be specific risk of confusion or exchange of verified claimed products with other products. No more than 48 hours’ notice may be given in advance on an unannounced On-Site Audit.

The organization shall give CUC, for verification purposes, access to all parts of the facility and all premises, as well as to the material accounting records, annual volume summaries and relevant supporting documents. Verifiers shall be allowed to interview staff without restriction. Full access shall be given both for announced and unannounced visits. Subcontractors required to undergo an on-site verification, shall give the verifier, the same level of access. The organization shall ensure all subcontractors will give access to verifier prior to handling claimed materials.

The Organization shall provide CUC with any updated and accurate information deemed necessary for the purposes of the on-site verification.
